This site is a digital museum for my family’s history. I transformed physical artifacts—old photos, letters, and objects—into a digital archive. My goal is to ensure these memories are not lost to time and can be shared with future generations.
"The Torrent" represents the fast-moving river of history. Over five generations, my family lived through huge social changes. Like people caught in a strong current, they had to keep moving and adapting. This project documents their survival and growth across a century.
Each generation is defined by a single object that captures the spirit of its time:
A symbol of survival. It represents the most basic struggle for food and the foundation of our family.
A symbol of industry. It represents the individual’s role as a small but essential part of a growing society.
A symbol of opportunity. It marks a time of economic change and the pursuit of a better material life.
A symbol of knowledge. It represents education, migration, and the power of finding one's own voice.
A symbol of the future. In the digital age, it represents endless possibilities and the freedom to define ourselves.
